ReplyDeletethis name change was done by the town board in executive session.
I really wonder why some recent comments were removed. Some deserved to be but others seemed suspiciously removed.

Feiner can delete at random but at least blog visitors know that he is doing it and can, as participants here in a "speak freely" society, raise all sorts of speculations as to his movitivation.
I would think that those behind this openess would at least have the principles to identify themself or themselves.
Until our hosts care to identify themselves,
I'll stick with Feiner and Lohud.

ReplyDeleteI live in Hartsdale. Whenever i complain on this blog that my total property tax has gone up by nearly 70% in the six years since I signed a contract on my house making my house almost unaffordable based on my income, I get no sympathy...only critics who conveniently tell me to blame someone other than the town: e.g., the county, the schools, the fire dept. To me this tells us everything I need to know: there is no accountability in local government to the taxpapers from Paul, Spano, GC or anyone else. They just don't care.

dear hartsdale home owner -
there are people that care and see that hartsdale is in big trouble
but unless you and your neighbors organize and field political candidates to challenge the political careerists like feiner and juettner, you are doomed
hartdale resident hal samis has exposed the waste in the building of your library - others have pointed to the problems at the tdycc and other dubious things like xposure
why do you think hartsdale was the dumping ground for that hideous wall in front of presser park - because you are powerless and you do not compute with this town board.
the schools are a different matter - and every community in new york state is struggling with this issue
but the fault is also with hartsdale too by failing to recognize that in places like the library where the old town hall belong to everyone (including the villages) was given away for nothing or at veteran park where 20% is in ardsley yet no taxes are paid by the restricted users of the park to ardsley thus causing ardsley taxpayers to make up the difference in lost revenue
so you cannot create alliances with villagers to change the town board until these subsidies are admitted and dealt with
hartsdale needs leadership and vision - it has neither, thus your complaint
